Omaha Lightning Volleyball is committed to challenging homeschooled athletes with godly principles on and off the court.

Our goal is to create an enriching environment where players develop physically, emotionally, and spiritually, as they grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Commit to give your best in all circumstances.
Strive for continual improvement in every area.
Invest in meaningful connections with those around you.
Seek to honor God in all things.
“And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.” Colossians 3:17
Omaha Lightning Volleyball exists to provide home educated students the opportunity to participate in an organized competitive volleyball program that has a distinctly Christian character.
At the high-school level, this is competitive volleyball with high-school substitution rules. Unlike recreational programs, our program offers no guarantee of playing time or position. Playing time will be based on skill-sets, hustle, ability, performance, and attitude toward teammates, coaches and others. Omaha Lightning Volleyball will strive to provide as many professional training opportunities as possible.
Omaha Lightning Volleyball is NOT, however, a win-at-all-cost organization. Our goal is to provide a high-quality, balanced program where talented athletes can grow physically and spiritually and where Jesus Christ is honored in all respects.
Practice for High School begins the last week of July with games and tournaments going through the end of October. We compete locally against homeschool teams and private schools. Our Varsity and JV teams also travel to compete in some weekend tournaments each season. To see a full listing of the games and tournaments visit the Schedule Page.
2026 fees TBD.
Fees help cover costs for court fees, equipment, tournament fees, uniforms, coach expenses, and more.
Our coaches are volunteers. Parents will be asked to help provide logistical support. If you feel you have a skill that you could use to help the program, please let us know.
Also, our many of our coaches have full-time jobs (and/or are full-time college students) and are taking personal time from their families to support our program. Please remember this, and stay flexible. We stress to our players that all we do reflects who we are in Christ.
Please review our Eligibility Requirements to ensure your home school is approved and your athlete is eligible for our program.
