In 2022 we hosted 3 dates at UBT. We chose dates when nothing was scheduled for all our higher level teams (to reduce schedule conflicts for our families and coaches). We set up double-headers for both of our JH teams on each of those dates, so 6 (out of 9) matches were played on our own home-court.

In 2023 we plan to host 4 dates at UBT.

What is “JH7?”

JH7 is the name of our Omaha Lightning Junior High team in 2021. It means “junior high, 7th grade and younger.” In 2022 you may see JH8 also.

What is “Parochial Athletic League” (also known as PAL)?

PAL is the name of the loose organization of private schools and homeschool volleyball clubs who agree to compete together. This league is managed by a volunteer who is affiliated with the Catholic schools in Omaha and who is completely separate from Omaha Lightning Volleyball.
